When I am part of this scene it is as if I am standing on the edge of nothingness, obliquely scanning the desolate immense of the salt crusted lake, or the forgotten colourless halcyon sea, or the eternal desert from the relic fringe… I can no longer tell.  Does anything exist beyond the horizon, or is there just nothing below the indistinct arc of the infinite distance, who knows?  Here, there are indentations in the sand made vague by the elements, paths of people or creature, or just the silent marks of time itself.  There is great beauty in this unknowing, unknowable, timelessness, spacelessness, endlessness
